Create and Configure the HTML Header Correspondence Template

Introduction

This allows you to create and configure HTML Header which can be inserted in the main HTML Correspondence file later. Header templates are useful for including information that you want to display on every page of a correspondence, such as the date or your organization’s address. Typically, the information entered in the header appears grey in the main correspondence HTML file.

Prerequisites

The header with the same name must not already exist.

Quick Steps
1 Click the Create New Item icon, then select New Page
2 Select the Page Type, then click Proceed
3 Enter the details, then click OK
4 Add an element from Toolbox
5 Update the properties 
6 Save the File

Detailed Steps

Step 1. Click the Create New Item icon, then select New Page.

This opens a drop-down list from which you can select an object. The item wizard creates a file.

 


Step 2. Select the Page Type
, then click Proceed.

This is the object you are creating. This example creates an HTML Header Template.


Step 3. Enter the details, then click OK.

Here, you can specify the Template name. It is the programmatic name of the header template prefixed with ‘hcr’.

Step 4. Add an element from Toolbox.

Here, you can add an Image to the header template. You can also add Standard Bookmark or any other HTML control, as desired.
 

Drag and drop the HTML Image control to the correspondence header section.


Step 5. Update the properties.

The important properties are:
 
Height: Pixel height of the image.
Src: Specifies the path of the image you want to display.
Width: Pixel width of the image.

In the Properties tab, open the HTML section. Click the src icon to add the image.

Select the desired image and click OK.

Step 6. Save the File.

You are finished configuring this Header Template file.
