BPM File Tabs

Every BPM file in S3 is divided into the following tabs:

  • Map: This is the graphic that defines the process flow. It contains two tabs in its left panel:
    • Toolbox: This contains BPM map elements. Drag an element from the toolbox to the desired part of the map. It will always require further configuration to function.
    • Properties: This tab allows you to configure the properties for the selected element. It contains two tabs:
      • General: This displays the basic element properties like ID, Name, Description, etc.
      • Configure: This maps the elements to their required properties, including properties for forms (enter and re-enter), rules, service tasks, gateway expressions, and call activities. User tasks require performers, so this also maps the lane names with roles from the security table in the framework.
  • Variables: These are all the variables the process uses.
  • Execution: This traces each executed process.
  • Versions: This displays the list of versions for the map, if any. To view this tab, click the Load Versions icon on the top right of the file menu (third from the right). When you edit/modify an existing BPM map, to reflect the latest map changes on the application, you redeploy the map. For each such map deployed, S3 creates a new map version.
