Universal S3 Controls

  

Application Logo

  • Location: Top left corner.
  • What it does: Opens the Dashboard.
  • How to use it: Click the icon.
  • Other notes: You'd do this to return to the dashboard.



Horizontal Search Menu

  • Location: Top horizontal menu.
  • What it does: Shows lists of menus (Entity, Forms, HTML, etc.).
  • How to use it: Click the item you want to access and search or select from the drop down.



Projects icon

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu.
  • What it does: Opens the Projects menu.
  • How to use it: Click the icon and select the project/open the settings from the drop down.



User

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Projects icon).
  • What it does: Shows the active user.
  • How to use it: Click when you need to log out.



Help

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the User icon).
  • What it does: Opens online help.
  • How to use it: Click the icon.



Previous

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (leftmost icon).
  • What it does: If multiple files are open, displays the previously displayed file.
  • How to use it: Click the icon.



Next

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Previous icon).
  • What it does: Displays the file that was open when the user navigated backward.
  • How to use it: Click the icon.



Create New File icon

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Next icon).
  • What it does: Starts a wizard for creating application functionality.
  • How to use it: Click the icon and follow the steps.



Open Files icon

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Create New File icon).
  • What it does: Displays open files in the list.
  • How to use it: Click the list and click the desired file.



Tools icon

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Open Files icon).
  • What it does: Open the Tools menu.
  • How to use it: Click the icon and select from the drop down.



Global Search field

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (a textbox to the right of the Tools icon).
  • What it does: Allows you to search for a file using the file name or a part of the file name.
  • How to use it: Enter search text in the field.



Advance Search icon

  • Location: Top right horizontal menu (to the right of the Global Search field).
  • What it does: Allows you to search for a file using Criteria, File Types, TFS Status, and Filters.
  • How to use it: Click the icon.



File Types Overview

  • Location: Under the Horizontal Search menu
  • What it does: Provides a graphical and statistical overview of the file types present in the project.



TFS

  • Location: Under File Types Overview in the left section of the dashboard.
  • What it does: Shows the active TFS (Team Foundation Server) details.



Pinned Files

  • Location: Under File Types Overview to the right of TFS.
  • What it does: Allows the user to view and access pinned files.
  • How to use it: Click any file name in this section to access it.



Latest Features

  • Location: Under File Types Overview to the right of Pinned Files.
  • What it does: Provides information about the latest features to the user.



Recent Files

  • Location: Right section of the dashboard.
  • What it does: Allows the user to view and access recently visited files.
  • How to use it: Click any file name in this section to access it.
