Control Menu

When you select a control on a form, Xelence displays a menu above the selected control with options for configuring the control. These options vary based on the control type selected, but may include:

  • Style Editor: Displays the Style Editor tab for the control.
  • Configure on Client Click Event: Displays the Script tab with a function ready to enter for the control.
  • Add Constraint: Displays the Add Constraint popup for the control. This allows you to enter simple validations for the control.
  • Find Reference: Displays the source text that contains the control.
  • Change Control: Displays the Change Control popup. This allows you to change the control to a different control type.
  • More: Displays more options based on the control type selected, but may include:
    • Clear Cell
    • Insert
    • Cut Control
    • Copy Control
    • Move
    • Delete Row
    • Delete Column
    • Find References
    • Rename
    • Change Control
    • Delete
  • Basic formatting options: Displays options for the control's caption: bold, italic, underline, font size, and font color.

To use this menu, select the desired control, then click the desired option.
