Introduction
An application stores all the required information of the Sagitec Xelence Suite. In order to create a form, queries, methods, or any properties, an application must already exist.
This process creates a Development Studio application that uses a blank template, is not modular, and is hosted on the cloud.

Step 2. Click the Create New Application icon, then select the application type.
Select from the following options:
- OnPrim Application: The application is installed and hosted on the premises of the organization using Xelence.
- OnCloud Application: The application is installed and hosted in a cloud environment.
This example creates a cloud application.
Step 3. Select the environment, then click Next.

Step 4. Select the template.
Select the application template (blank application, employee management, analysis, etc.), you'd like to create.
This example uses the blank template.
Step 5. Enter the Application details, then click Next.
Enter the application details. The important properties are:
- Application Name: Enter the name of the application.
- Application Type: Specifies the type of application. It defaults to a Standard application.
- Is Modular: If checked, the application has independent modules that contain everything necessary to execute the desired functionalities. Each module and its files are encapsulated from other modules and users, unless they have the necessary permissions to work on that module.
- Default Module Name: Enter the name of the default module. This will be created automatically once Xelence creates the application. This displays only if you create a non-modular application.
- Logo: Choose the logo for your application. This is optional.
- Master Page Layout: Select the master page layout from the given options.
Step 6. Select the modules, then click Next.
Select the configured modules you want your application to have.
Step 7. Select the desktop application theme, then click Next.
The theme determines the application's layout and design.
Step 8. Select the mobile application theme, then click Next.
Step 9. Enter the Source Control information, then click Create Application.
Select Yes if you want to use Xelence source control. Otherwise, select No.
If you select Yes, you need to enter the method you want to use.
Source control specifies the method of tracking code changes. The available source control tools are Git and Tfvc.
If you are not registered with the DevOps organization, you need to enter the URL you want to use.
When you click Create Application, Xelence creates your application. It will send you an email when it's done. When you have created the application, it should look something like this:
