Delete a Query

By Xelence Documentation posted 05-27-2021 11:57

Introduction

If a query is not necessary, delete it so it's not showing up when you want to call a query you need.

Prerequisites

The query that you want to delete must already exist.

Quick Steps
1 Search for and open the entity
2 Open the Queries section
3 Open the group section
4 Select the query, then delete the query
5 Save the entity

Detailed Steps

Step 1. Search for and open the entity.

Step 2. Open the Queries section.

The Queries section is where the entity manages its queries.

Step 3. Open the group section.

Open the group that contains the query you want to delete.

Step 4. Select the query, then delete the query.

This opens the selected query, so you can ensure it is the correct one before deleting. Click the Delete icon to delete the query.

If the query that you are trying to delete is being used in your application, such as in a data table on a form, Xelence will display a message to remove the references before deleting.

Click the Yes button to confirm deleting the query.

Step 4. Save the entity.

The query is deleted, and the changes are saved to the entity.
